We are a team of landscape designers and fine gardeners with over 30 years of experience who curate plantings for both homes and public areas. We strive to design according to the aesthetic tastes of our clients while using plants, trees, and shrubs that will be most successful.

Our main styles are classic contemporary with west coast influences, and native perennial gardens. While we have designed many spaces for others to install, our team prefers to coordinate each aspect of a project. From hardscaping to electricity to any form of planting, we will personally be on site to ensure quality. We keep the physical planting in house as much as possible, which allows us to create balance and continuity throughout the grounds.

Our landscape projects have ranged in size from half a city block to curated custom container plantings. Examples of different projects are included in our galleries, and show a range of scale and style. Our team has managed the demolition, hardscape, and build of multiple large community gardens on the north side of Chicago. The design of the gardens included many native and pollinator perennial plantings, as well as water source installations and concrete based structures. Clearing land and revitalizing spaces have also included the creation of large Japanese and Zen gardens.

While our experience with large scale installation is important, our fine gardening expertise is evident in planting intimate lush garden areas with balance and grace. Whether it’s by planting seedling gardens that will fill in later or fully grown plants for an immediate impact, we help our clients transition through each of their spaces with contentment.

Many outdoor spaces have a good start for design change and planting. We will design using the lines of your home and the natural movement of your land. We will remove and move existing plants for balance and overall design, and replace or add plants that fit with the style of your home. How you will use your outdoor spaces will tell us if our design and plants should create a smaller, more private area or if they should pull the eye along the line of the land. Our recommended plantings focus on highlighting what you enjoy on your property, as well as add interest at visual points from your windows.

Our more recent foray into retail with our Plant Perfect Design houseplant and accessories shop follows with the same thoughtfulness. We strive to provide clients services with timely communication, tips and tricks for any houseplant, and design for successful plant ownership.
